Hudson Square - Branding A Neighborhood

Hudson Square is a small Manhattan neighborhood squished between Tribeca and Soho, and it’s absolutely crawling with creative powerhouses like Google, Disney, and a bunch of creative agencies. The catch? Nobody actually knows it’s a real neighborhood. Most people just think it’s part of Soho or the West Village. So, the Hudson Square BID called up Six+One to slap some personality and brand the neighborhood. We realized the area is packed with creative pros who practically live on the internet and speak fluent sarcasm and snark. So, the plan was simple: use funny, cheeky writing to bring Hudson Square to life and make people actually feel something about it.

Using common (and often forgotten) neighborhood elements like trashcans, lamp-post banners, and even construction signage, we gave Hudson Square a memorable identity.
