Like any good Russian immigrant, I studied engineering at a fancy university. On graduating, I realized that I wanted to be a little more cliche and joined a bay area tech startup as a UI designer. This lasted about 5 years until the company died, came back to life, and then died again.

After startup death #3, I decided to take a few months to explore standup comedy, which had been a lifelong obsession.

In 2015, a fellow comedian, and certified advertising success, David Roth, recommended me to Argonaut Ad Agency when they needed a funny writer. They gave me a two-day trial, which turned into a three-month gig, which turned into about a dozen 15s spots focused on the absurdist joy of chocolate covered candies (provided free throughout production). 20 pounds later, I began my advertising career.

Since then, I've freelanced for GSP, Havas, RGA, Complex Magazine, Ironbound Hard Cider, JDate and Zocdoc. I even got to write some jokes for Colin Jost and Michael Che during their T-Mobile presentation at CES.

I love clever advertising, and I want to make more of it.
